As I look to level up my career, improve my style and change my wardrobe, I decided I wanted to invest in some suits. HOWEVER, I don’t like to be a plain Jane and want to set the tone about my personality and style when I go for an interview. If there is one thing I have learnt in my career, go to the interview in your most bold favourite outfit that you would want to wear to work, that way they know what you are bringing and your style and know what they are in for. I once made the mistake of going plain to an interview for a workplace where they expected plain conservative clothing.I had to stop wearing the chunky necklace I used to wear with my favourite blazer and some of my favourite bold coloured clothes.
Anyway, enough about that, here is my review for those of you babes hoping to level up your wardrobe with a small budget.
I ordered two suits, a bold red suit which came as a set and a dusty blue suit which had the blazer and pants sold separately.
I am quite large and curvy so I ordered some sets that are stretchy and flattering for my size.
The first one is the A Work Of Art Pants – Dusty Blue with the matching ‘The Celine blazer .
The fit is quite good and and it looks lovely on and flatters my curves, however it does have a little bit of a pointed shoulder due to the shoulder pads and I noticed that the shades didn’t quite match. When I wear them together you can’t really tell. I would wear this to my first interview as it’s bright and differnt yet not to in your face.
The second is a bright red suit set. Again it is made of stretchy material. The only thing about this suit is the blazer sits straight but does not have any buttons, latch or belt to bring and keep them together which can be a problem. However I will style it but using a thin black belt.

All suit pieces can be found on Fashion Nova and come to a total of $172 AU when not on sale.
