So, first of all I must confess that I stopped going to the salon to get a manicure months ago, long before Corona hit. Unfortunately I don’t have the strongest nails and I can’t stand it when they file you nails down for a manicure.
So I started looking for DIY and found this amazing kit when I was in Sephora in France. The brand is called le mini macaron and this little device has changed my manicure routine forever. I literally have not been back to get my nails done since as I do them from home now.
I’ll walk you through my routine below.
First of all, make sure your hands are clean and washed, then cut your nails to the desired length, I like to cut them short so I get rid of any split layers and can use the opportunity to protect my nails for a few weeks.
I then glue on false nails and shape to my desired shape – usually Almond as this is the most elongating for the finger. Then I pick my favourite gel colour to paint them and away I go. The best part is that you don’t have to use the le mini macaron nail polish only to paint your nails. You can use any nail polish that needs a UV lamp to try.
I will admit that it is time consuming to dry them one at a time, but this means that you save your hands from the damages of ultra violet lights and the damages it can cause your hands.

If you have a favourite gel brand let me know, I love finding new shades and colours to experiment with xxx
